That’s right, even experienced people make basic mistakes like that. The first time I used this I left the house with a very obvious contour line and I only realised it was there once I got home at the end of the day. They claim you can’t overdo it, but I think you can. Even though this shade is such a good match for me, I still feel like I need to use a light hand with it. It might not look like that because the shade is rather close to my natural skintone, but after using it I know for a fact it is.

It’s not super dark or anything like that. Looking at the swatch I get why they say you can’t really overdo it with this powder. The finely milled texture is supposed to be great for undetectable application and it’s almost impossible to overdo it.
KEVYN AUCOIN THE SCULPTING CONTOUR POWDER SKIN
The sheer formula of the powder is supposed to glide effortlessly onto the skin whilst the absence of shimmer and glitter makes the shading and contouring look believable for a more refined complexion. The shades are supposed to be a selection of shades that are just right for accentuating natural shadows on all skin tones. It’s designed to enhance, contour and sculpt the face. The only thing I was a little bit scared of, is that it was going to be too light to even show up on my face.Īccording to Kevyn Aucoin their The Sculpting Powder is a unique powder which adds a subtle shadow to the skin to define and sculpt your natural features. If you’re contouring you are trying to create natural looking shadows on your face and shadows are never warm toned, so this will create a very natural result. I do think that it’s a great tone to contour with. The only product that comes close to this in terms of colour is the NYX HD Blush in Taupe. It definitely does have a much more grey or ashy tone to it than pretty much every other contour product I own. It’s a really unique colour compared to most contour powders I have tried so far. When I received the contour powder I was actually very surprised by how light the lightest shade actually is. Somehow I remember the medium shade to be most hyped for some reason, but I expected that to be too dark for me. Since I’m super pale I ended up going for the lightest shade. I don’t think three different shades is a whole lot, but I do like that they got an actual light shade in there as well as a nice medium and a nice deep colour. The Kevyn Aucoin The Sculpting Powder comes in three different shades. Kevyn Aucoin The Sculpting Powder 3,1 grams – €28 I mean, I only need a little bit of it per application and so far I don’t see any signs in the powder of usage, so I still think it will last me quite long. I don’t really know what the idea is behind this extremely small amount of product, but in a way I’m not mad about it. For example my Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze & Glow Palette comes with a sculpting powder with 10 grams and my Chanel bronzer comes with even more than that. The product comes with 3,1 grams of product. It’s a bit too small to use for contour, but well, it’s there and I appreciate that. On the inside it does come with a mirror which I think is very nice. It’s like the size of a big eyeshadow mono compact. I know that product come in very excessive and big packagings lots of the time while they come with the same amount of product as this tiny little dude does, but I still was shocked by how little it is. However, the size of the compact did surprise me. The thingy on the side is golden and the lid has this smokey brown colour to it. The product itself comes in this tiny little compact.

All in all this cover is fantastic and I like it a lot. And it does protect the packaging itself from getting damaged as well as the product inside. It makes it feel more luxurious in a way. I know it’s not like needed, but I do think that it adds a special touch to the product. I do really like the fact that this product comes with a cover. When you open it up a soft little this comes out with the actual product inside. The Kevyn Aucoin The Sculpting Powder comes in a small golden cardboard box. So if you want to know everything about this famous Kevyn Aucoin The Sculpting Powder in the shade Light, make sure you continue reading this post! So I bought it and today it’s time for me to review it. It always looked to me like this was the ultimate powder to sculpt your face with and now I just had to try it. However, it still is a product that is loved by many and that’s why I wanted to try it. Back when it was at its top contouring was rather new and there wasn’t as much out there as there is now. I remember a time in which the Kevyn Aucoin Sculpting Powder was one of the most talked about products for contouring.
